A-Team Moving was founded in 2024 by husband-and-wife team Jake and Sara Lockwood. Locally owned and operated in Southwest Florida, A-Team was built on a simple belief: moving should be handled by people who care about your belongings, respect your home, and know the community you're moving into.

With nearly a decade of experience in the moving industry and a crew of seasoned professionals, we've become a trusted choice for Southwest Floridians who want more than just a truck and a few strong backs. We bring experience, attention to detail, and a little personality to every move — because moving day is stressful enough without your movers adding to it.

FROM THE MOVING TRUCK TO THE MANAGER'S OFFICE

Jake's journey in the moving industry began nearly 10 years ago. Starting in the field, he learned the business from the ground up, eventually working his way into the position of general manager at another local moving company. There, he oversaw an operation of up to 10 trucks and 40 employees, gaining firsthand experience in everything from complex logistics and crew management to customer service and the challenges that come with moving in Southwest Florida.

That experience shaped the way A-Team operates today. Jake understands what it takes to move a household efficiently, protect valuable belongings, and keep a crew working together. He also knows that the best moving companies are built on accountability, communication, and doing what you say you're going to do.

Outside the moving industry, Jake holds a degree in paralegal studies and is a lifetime member of Lambda Epsilon Chi, the national academic honor society for paralegal and legal studies students. His background brings an additional appreciation for organization, professionalism, and attention to detail to the business.

A FAMILY BUSINESS THROUGH AND THROUGH

Sara brings her own dedication to service and professional excellence to A-Team. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in nursing, balancing her education and career with the responsibilities of helping build a family-owned business.

Jake and Sara live in Naples with their two children and two dogs. Southwest Florida isn't just where A-Team does business. It's home. We understand the neighborhoods, the communities, the seasonal challenges, and the people who make this area such a special place to live.
